On a little island in the Saginaw River in Michigan, a bob-tailed cat that went by the name of Kayak became lost. The cat managed to survive by hiding away inside a hollow tree on the island, which was barely more than a little thatch of trees. Nobody is aware of how the cat arrived.
Was the cat abandoned on the island? He swam, right?
Thankfully, someone found the cat and posted a picture of it online, where a kind woman by the name of Elyssa Weber discovered it. Surprisingly, she knew she would be the one to save this cat as soon as she saw the story. She would kayak out to the forest’s thicket of trees to see what she could do.
So Weber went to the island, but on the first night the cat escaped. She came back the following day carrying live traps, unfazed.
The cat soon crossed the river on a boat and arrived at the Humane Society of Bay County, where he was given the name Kayak. After that, he would be placed in foster care by another loving person.
