The woman who had a heart attack thinks her cat saved her life by waking her up.
Sam Felstead believes that if Billy hadn’t leapt on her and begun meowing, she would have passed away in her sleep.
Ms. Felstead’s mother assisted her in getting to the hospital after she realised she couldn’t move on her right side after becoming aware.
Billy might have been responding to changes in Ms Felstead’s behaviour or physiology, two cat behaviour specialists told the BBC.
According to the medics, it was fortunate that I arrived at the hospital in time, said Ms. Felstead, who is from Stapleford in Nottinghamshire.
Billy usually doesn’t sit with me, but because he wouldn’t leave me alone, he realised something was wrong.
“I do believe he saved my life, as does everyone else here,” she said.
Billy may have noticed Ms. Felstead’s increased perspiration, unusual movement, noises, trouble in her sleep, or even changes in her odour, according to Ms. Hoile.
I was drenched in sweat, so perhaps that’s what he sensed, Ms. Felstead recalled.
“Bless him, he was quite intelligent. He wished to remain at my side always. He never sits close to me; instead, he always sits next to my mother. He adores my mother and showers her with affection.”
In the hospital from August 8 to August 11, Ms. Felstead. She underwent an angioplasty, in which a balloon was utilised to widen a constrictive artery. Additionally, she will require medication.
“He wouldn’t get near me when I got out of the hospital for a good few hours; whether I smelled awful going out of the hospital, I don’t know,” she claimed.
Billy is “extremely thankful” to her, yet he seems unconcerned.
She declared, “I don’t think he has the slightest idea what’s happened.
“He doesn’t disturb me as long as I feed him.”
