While his cat mom was away, a neighbour fed him and kept an eye on him, but it’s not the same as having his mom nearby all the time! We’re certain he has no idea where she went!
Cats can be extremely similar to human newborns in this regard. Mom is finally home after several days away! He hears her but does not immediately come out to greet her. Instead, he remains in his room and calls out to her.
When she arrives, it appears he has a lot to say to her! He is definitely pleased to see her, but we feel he is also disappointed that she has departed!
