This Cute Dog And His Adopted Kittens Prove That Families Come In All Shapes And Sizes!

When Eliza Henry-Jones and her husband Ben Hibbs agreed to adopt two stray kittens from Forever Friends Animal Rescue, they thought it would only be for a few weeks as they nursed them back to health.

That is, until their dog Hugo decided to practically take them under his paw.

When Little Gingy and his sibling Grum initially came on Eliza and Ben’s doorstep, they were “tiny, full of worms, and coated with fleas.” Initially, the pup had no idea what they were.

“Hugo had never seen a kitten before, and the closest he’d gotten was growing up with my mother’s cat,” Eliza explained.

That, however, did not endure long.

“He realised he ADORED them out of nowhere,” Eliza explained.

While the dog treats did not go down well, the kittens quickly realised that Hugo was also very awesome. The trio quickly became inseparable.

Hugo has upped his adopted-father game in the last two years, allowing the two no-longer-so-tiny cats to tread, lick, and claw all over him. He does, however, have a habit of picking favourites.

“Every day, Gingy will groom Hugo, and Hugo will bring Gingy his favourite toys,” Eliza explained.

“Sometimes Hugo and Gingy will vanish from whichever room we’re all in, just to be discovered deep asleep together in another.”
