On a chilly day a year ago, she just showed up at FDNY (Fire Department New York) Station 57. It was as though she knew this was exactly where she belonged!
She was initially nervous and hesitant, and she didn’t want anyone to touch her. She gradually came around, thanks to a lot of love and a little patience from the folks who worked there.
Of course, having an unending supply of food and treats was definitely a big help!
This photo was taken about the time she realised she could enjoy the individuals who already adored her:
She now “expects” to be caressed by her new human family members!
She also appears to enjoy laying on mats. And, despite the fact that they purchased her a nice new one, she still prefers to sleep on the old, worn-out one outside the captain’s office.
“We call her Killer because when she moved in, she took care of our mouse problem.” “We were organising a naming contest for her, but then she started bringing home rats,” Station57 explained.
She’s not the type to beg for food. Probably because she recognises that with so many caring human companions surrounding her, she will finally obtain whatever she requires and desires!
It is still uncertain whether the heroes who work at this particular fire station rescued the Killer or if she, ironically, saved them!
