The stray cat is delighted to enter a house so that her kittens won’t have to live on the streets

A pregnant black and white cat was discovered walking the streets of Dundas, Ontario, Canada. When good samaritans approached her, they saw that she needed both medical care and a place to stay.

The cat’s neck and chest were covered with festering sores. She had probably been neglected and abandoned for some time. She was brought back to health by the finders, who gave her a cosy nest in which to give birth to five healthy kittens.

In an effort to give the family of six the best opportunity at finding suitable homes, they got in touch with their neighbourhood rescue, Salty Animal Rescue.

Oreo the cat was incredibly amiable right away. After wandering the streets and consuming litter after litter, she was overjoyed to be back inside.

The cofounders of Salty Animal Rescue, Karly and Katelyn Saltarski, told Love Meow that the cats would never need to live on the streets again and would never contribute to the overcrowding of stray and feral cats in their neighbourhood.
