The kitten that was discovered waddling by himself now has a cat to teach him the ropes

The only survivor of his litter was a grey kitten that was discovered in a garage. Never did his mother cat return to get him. He cried for aid, was really small, weak, and unstable.

Coastal Bend Cat Rescue (CBCR) volunteers sprung into action and took the newborn into their care. He was very underweight and coated in fleas when he arrived.

He was nearly twice that old based on other age markers, but Mary Huckabee, a CBCR officer, told Love Meow that he had the size of a one-week-old kitten.

Another CBCR officer named Dorella adopted the 2-ounce kitten. She wanted to give him a shot despite all the odds against him.

“He had an extremely low body score and was dehydrated. I didn’t believe he would make it. We had to gradually raise his body temperature, which required hourly feedings in very little portions “Dorella and Love Meow exchanged.
