With the assistance of several generous people, a 5-year-old cat named Houston made his way to Tabby’s Place, a cat sanctuary in Ringoes, New Jersey. He needed a lot of TLC and appeared quite run-down.
According to Angela Hartley, development director at Tabby’s Place, “he was a warm-hearted little woolly bear from the hour of his arrival, brimming with affection and excitement just to be alive and to be appreciated.”
Houston was not only skin and bones and covered with mats, but it also had a number of medical issues. “He wasn’t completely artistic. He was really fantastic.”
Houston was unable to fully open his eyes because to swelling and had significant hydrocephalus (water on the brain).
Despite everything, the affable Siamese was grateful for people’s help and showed quick attachment for them.
“As our crew gently teased out the knots from his terribly matted coat, he started forming cheerful little’muffins’ with his paws,” the author writes.
