Sick, malnourished kittens develop into beautiful, healthy cats

Jennifer was horrified to see how sick and little these kittens were when she first met them.

The tiny kittens, who were about 5 weeks old and weighed 5 pounds, were about the size of a 1-week-old. Skin and bones were all that remained of them.

They were the thinnest kittens Jennifer had ever seen, she claimed. They required care that went beyond what a typical foster parent might be able to offer. She was worried that these weak kittens wouldn’t make it through the night.

She didn’t get much rest on that first night. She kept an eye on the kittens and checked on their breathing frequently. They weren’t really responding and were acting very sluggish.

Amazingly, though, the kittens began to improve after a few days. When Jennifer’s voice was heard, their heads would bob up. That was definitely a turnaround.

As she observed the kittens’ subtle changes, Jennifer had hope that they would survive. Her efforts eventually paid off, too.
