Backpack the shelter cat was so terrified that she was unable to eat and wouldn’t even show her face to anyone. Everything, though, was altered when they located a foster home for her.
Backpack the cat was stumbling through Philadelphia’s streets when a young child noticed her. The young person tried to keep the terrified cat safe by tucking her inside a rucksack before bringing her to the animal shelter.
Backpack made every effort to remain hidden when she initially arrived to PAWS, the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society. Volunteers even attempted to console her, but she rolled into a ball and buried her head into the volunteer’s arm, seemingly attempting to blend into the background.
Despite our greatest efforts to reassure her, she has completely shut down, according to PAWS, who posts Backpack’s tale on Facebook. She’s too down to eat here… She receives head rubs and stroking graciously despite being so depressed.
They finally succeeded in persuading Backpack to reveal her lovely face after some encouragement!
She just arrived and has already settled in, PAWS posted on Facebook. She was too afraid to eat or even show her face in the shelter, but now that she’s in a family, she’s feeling like herself once again!
She started to unwind and open up shortly after getting to her new foster home. It’s been good thus far. She has been here for a short while and is now looking around her room. The excellent food is up next,” foster mother Michelle stated.
It’s remarkable what a cosy home environment can accomplish. Backpack is happy and content in her new temporary residence, and you can see it in her eyes. She no longer battles to keep her face hidden.
