The world was fascinated by a ten-year friendship between a stray black house cat named Muschi and a 43-year-old Asian bear named Mäuschen.
The unusual couple that resided at the Berlin Zoo rose to fame after appearing on the television programme “Panda, Gorilla & Co.”
The big bear and the small black cat shared their home and meals for over ten years. However, none was aware of Muschi’s origins. She was a stray that merely one day appeared in Mäuschen’s enclosure.
The cat and the bear in the zoo became very popular. Daily, dependable guests arrived to observe their activities.
According to German press, Muschi, which translates to “pussy,” was promptly adopted and defended by Mäuschen, the sarcastically named “small mouse.”
