A pregnant cat in need of help was brought to the Valley Animal Center in Fresno, California. However, there are very few businesses that have available premises during “kitten season.”
Not to mention the fact that a pregnant cat required A LOT of care to ensure everything went smoothly before, during, and after delivery.
However, they were not pleased with the facility when they were informed that they regrettably had no open space. Additionally, the staff advised that they take the cat right away to the doctor for treatment.
What then did the individual decide was the best course of action? To simply leave the cat’s carrier there while it is giving birth, without informing anyone, and to go. NO LESS THAN IN TRIPLE DIGIT TEMPERATURES!
It’s so frustrating, pause here and take a deep breath. Rescue groups are not veterinary clinics with the equipment or expertise to handle an emergency. especially when a cat is going through a challenging labour!
Pie is currently under their care and is recovering gradually but surely. However, she had one more treat in store for them that truly demonstrated what a lovely spirit she is.
