While working on a TNR (trap-neuter-return) operation for a cat colony in North Carolina, a local rescuer saw two kittens walking together on a number of occasions. Right before the snow started to fall, she was able to rescue them and numerous other cats.
To be examined, the two kittens were taken to a nearby veterinary clinic in separate cages. When asked for help, Sarah Kelly, the founder of Murphy’s Law Animal Rescue, went to pick them up.
We fell in love with their characteristics as soon as we saw them in their cages side by side when we arrived there. Gus, the older child, was so composed at 7 months old. The younger cat, Spencer, who is 4 months old, was attempting to exit while he was simply sitting there purring.
Spencer was circling, meowing, and reaching out to Sarah to pet him. The kittens’ desire for attention and their relief at finally being taken off the streets were immediately apparent.
We made the best choice by putting them in a single carrier because of how well they were doing in cages near to one another.
