In Jamie Fisher’s hometown of Greenfield, Indiana, Austin and Jamie Fisher were getting ready to relocate to a new home.
However, they had to spend a few weeks with his parents while waiting for their house to be finished.
In order to prepare for their impending move, they moved in with his parents in Fortville, Indiana. It was the place Austin had referred to as his hometown. And it was the same community that came to their aid through one of their worst moments.
Because two of their indoor cats escaped while they were spending a few weeks with his parents before their move!
In the middle of September, Sawyer hurried out the “doggy door” on moving day. But a week or so later, Ellie also succeeded in sneaking out of their temporary home! The family was inconsolable.
Even though Sweet Sawyer had only been missing for about 2 1/2 weeks before being discovered, those were a devastating few weeks.
