Hodge, a cute black-and-white cat, resides in this magnificent location. For more than a thousand years, Southwark Cathedral’s location has been home to churches.
However, the cathedral’s primary structure was erected between 1200 and 1420. It’s a veritable gold mine of mediaeval artwork.
Hodge, however, is the first feline to reside in this magnificent building. He was given a PURRstegious distinction after a difficult beginning to life.
In the summer of 2020 in Woolwich, South East London, a woman on her way to work observed the black-and-white waif who “looked pretty bad.” The cat had a broken lower jaw, which she saw as she got closer to it.
But as children rushed the cat, it fled in terror. Thankfully, Cat Cuddles Sanctuary exists.
Fortunately, the cat was captured by Cat Cuddles Sanctuary, and he was off to a new life.
Poor Hodge obviously needed assistance, as you can see in the picture below:
He had a neglected growth on his lower jaw that had become a huge mess. His former owners neglected to get him the veterinary treatment he required.
