He’s a large baby and his name is Max the Canadian Lynx

He also serves as an animal ambassador for education, pausing before eating to engage in a little scratching.

Max is a captive animal. He isn’t quite tame, but neither is he wild.

He was born in a zoo in May 2011, and despite not having been tamed, he has been made more human. Of course, he still exhibits wild behaviours.

His goal is to raise awareness of the Canada Lynx’s plight in order to inspire others to safeguard the animal and its environment.

Unbelievably, it is still permitted to capture these magnificent animals in Canada and Alaska despite the fact that the Lynx is technically classified to be “threatened” and “extirpated” in the state of New York.

It is important to note that he is NOT declawed, say his caregivers.

He has around 4 inches of fur in this video, which makes him appear fat…er, fluffy. They say that he weighs 40 pounds in the winter and 34 pounds in the summer.

This movie was not shot at my house; rather, Max has an indoor cage where he spends most of his time. Max also has outdoor housing where he spends most of his time. This is his rug with his fur, straw, and other odours that he enjoys.

See how wonderful he is in the video:
