Because Lorelei’s labour and subsequent transition into parenthood were anything but simple.
She was taken to Foster Kitten Mama Heidi Shoemaker’s Florida foster home after being found.
Uncertain about the timing of Lorelei’s kitten delivery, Heidi set up her house for the delivery. It took her no time at all to wait.
Sadly, one of the infants did not survive after being born with a terrible birth abnormality.
Her labour also came to a standstill when the doctor was able to assist in pushing the first kitten out of the birth canal. She ultimately gave birth to another after that, and an x-ray was taken to make sure there weren’t any more hidden in her large belly.
And this three has been inseparable since that day, quite literally.
