Foster Caregiver Saves Day Old Kitten

Love is a strong force. It prevents death! This small kitten, who was just one day old, was saved and given another chance at life.

This small kitten was found alone and in need of a lot of care. Its eyes were still closed.

“An orphaned newborn would usually be put to death right away at shelters. Hannah Shaw, a foster carer, commented on Instagram that the Washington Humane Society is fantastic and instead contacts fosters.

Hannah said, “It really hurts me for a baby so young to be entirely alone.” on the day she picked up this tiny one.

Hannah was there to provide the constant feeding this kitten required.

She gave the kitten a blanket to keep her warm and a stuffed animal to keep the baby company.

For at least the first week, newborns should be kept in a compact, well-ventilated, warm, and secure environment like this top-opening cardboard carrier.

“I’m up every two to three hours to feed, and I’m sure sleepy. She is getting bigger and healthier by the second, so it is well worth it. Even though it sounds good to sleep, seeing her progress is worth getting up at the alarm clock all night.

The kitten is now able to drink from a bottle!
