For the 182 cats saved from the Delaware hoard, hopeful transformations have started

Residents of Camden, Delaware were horrified to discover a swarm of animals living in “deplorable conditions” after a neighbourhood property was cleared out. The unsettling site has been mentioned in reports to the Office of Animal Welfare (OAW). They acted immediately after hearing the stories that the citizens had recounted. They had never seen anything like this animal brutality before.

When more than 180 animals were eliminated, the size of this stockpile in Delaware reached really astounding proportions!
Everyone concerned found the final count to be incredible. 182 cats of various ages, 1 dog, and a terribly departed cat were all present.

And they were all left to their own devices, living in squalor.

One of the nearby shelters was contacted right away by the OAW. because there would be a significant rehabilitation effort. They were going to need skilled animal handlers when dealing with a herd of this size.

Above all, the Brandywine Valley SPCA (BVSPCA) personnel and volunteers were glad to assist. It was probably not the first time they had saved creatures from certain death. And it won’t be their last, for sure!
