Fergus the cat is brought home by volunteers after 11 years of being gone

Fergus vanished from his Forres, Scotland, home. He’s already back home after being located by rescuers 80 miles away in Aberdeen on the east coast.

The large grey tabby was living on the streets close to a recycling facility.

Fergus had a microchip for eleven years and carried it with him everywhere.

He could have been linked to his real mother, Fiona Mutter, if someone had looked.

This exact action was recently taken by a volunteer from the nonprofit Cats Protection, who brought Fergus in for inspection.

Fergus was discovered wandering close to a recycling facility, but perhaps he had been inside earlier. The answer is unknown.

Mutter received the call of a lifetime shortly after.
