A foster family leaves their home in the middle of the night with Moon, a pregnant foster cat.
Police had to reverse 911 calls to 10,000 locals in Puyallup, Washington, because to a significant fire at a cold storage facility. A 1.1-mile radius had to be evacuated due to possible hazardous gases. At 5:20 a.m., when most people were still asleep, the fire started.
Since breathing in high concentrations of the fumes might be lethal, several fire departments organised a three-alarm reaction.
Rebecca Thompson and her family woke up that morning to a startling “Go Now” evacuation order. So she quickly prepared her children for departure. In addition, Thompson was caring for Moon, a pregnant cat for the Humane Society of Tacoma and Pierce County, at the time. According to the Federal Way Mirror, it’s one of the country’s oldest animal welfare groups.
Moon was placed in a carrier before the family left. They were hoping to locate a location to stay for the remainder of the evening. They had no idea, though, when they would be able to go back to their Puyallup house.
