The only survivor of her litter was a little grey kitten named Buffy, who was born to a stray cat. Buffy had to be raised by hand constantly because her mother cat showed no interest in parenting her offspring.
Rescue Right’s foster volunteer Courtney (from Bedford, New York) offered her assistance. Courtney told Love Meow, “Her mom didn’t want anything to do with her, so I started bottle-feeding her.”
She rescued the helpless kitten just in time and saved her from certain death.
A hugely pregnant rescued cat named Lola entered Courtney’s house a few weeks before Buffy showed up. She was due to give birth shortly and required a secure location for her unborn children.
She stunned everyone by giving birth to eight kittens a week later. Lola got right to work taking care of her eight hungry mouths and all of their needs.
