Despite taking a wrong turn on the highway, a woman saved a kitten, forever altering his life.

Laila D’Souza made an unintentional wrong turn on a highway while on her home. She had no idea that she was about to save a priceless young life by being in the right location at the right moment.

“I saw a little kitten dashing across a congested highway as I was driving. Fortunately, he came to a stop in the emergency lane “Laila gave Love Meow some.

She stopped right away and stepped outside to check on the kitty. Even though he was fatigued, “he somehow avoided all the automobiles and was sprinting for his life.”

The scared kitten ran under Laila’s car to hide as she attempted to remove it from the busy road.

“After seeing me struggling to find him, a kind man stopped, and after some time, we became persuaded that he had fled. However, I felt compelled to return home at a very sluggish pace in case he was somehow stowed away there.”

It was thought that Hitch, the infant, was between 5 and 6 weeks old. After the experience, he was terrified and shaking. “I brought him to the veterinarian to get him examined and make sure he wasn’t injured.”

Despite possibly using a few of his nine lives, Hitch miraculously survived. Hitch started to unwind as soon as he had a roof over his head, a comfortable bed, and plenty of delicious food. With careful care, he warmed up every day and gradually began to trust people.

Hitch’s attitude altered when he realised he was no longer need to run or duck under any more autos. The first time he turned on his purr motor, he simply left it going on high.

The once-frightened kitten quickly evolved into an attention-seeker with a voracious appetite.

He grew more loving and chatty as his confidence increased. In order to get what he wanted, Hitch would chirp and squeak, and he wouldn’t accept a no.

“From being frightened of others to pleading for love. He was one of the vocalest foster kitties I’d ever had “Laila revealed.

He quickly made friends with the other foster kitties when he was ready to interact with them. His temperament was

When he was prepared to interact with other foster kittens, he did so with a natural friendship. As he galloped around the house with his friends carefree, his personality was on full display.

Hitch would approach his folks and squeak his heart out for a dosage of their affection following each heated play session. He enjoys perching on people’s laps, even those he has barely known briefly.

When he was old enough to be adopted, he crossed the ocean to City Kitties DC, a cat sanctuary in Washington, DC, in search of a home.

From taking the cat off the roadway to assisting him in thriving in foster care to finding a good home, it required a village.

Hitch made many friends along the way, both human and furry, and he treated them all with love and respect.

“The kitten travelled across the world from Kuwait to Washington DC, holding onto my car from the highway to my house.” With a feline sibling to share his life with, Hitch has now discovered his forever home.

The erroneous highway turn was one of the best moves I (unintentionally) made, according to the way life “works in unexpected ways.”
