Cats are born inside a demonstration jet’s cockpit at a North Carolina aviation museum

When it was discovered that kittens had been born in one of its aircraft last week, the Hickory Aviation Museum received a welcome surprise.

According to WSOC-TV, the museum claimed that a stray cat that frequents the region gave birth to kittens inside a T-33 Shooting Star, a Cold War jet trainer on exhibit.

A kitty is seen peering out of the cockpit in a museum photo on Facebook.

In addition to fighting off the elements including rain, wind, heat, insects, and birds, one of the roaming cats that frequents the airfield opted to give birth inside the T-33 Shooting Star.

The post read, “This is why we need to establish the museum to get our aircraft indoors!!!!” and urged readers to donate to the institution.

According to The Hickory Record, the kittens were delivered to a nearby humane charity and would be available for adoption in three months.
