Tortilla, a lovely calico cat, was 13 years old when her entire life was about to change. She was discovered in an apartment a few months ago, regrettably after her owner died. She discovered herself in a kennel at a nearby shelter, awaiting rescue. Staff at the shelter requested assistance from the rescue community. When the Odd Cat Sanctuary learnt of her predicament, they jumped at the chance to take her in.
Tara, founder of the Odd Cat Sanctuary, told Love Meow, “she was so adorable, purring, head-butting, and just wanted love.” They immediately observed a charming quality of Tortilla that won everyone’s heart. “Her tongue is permanently protruding. She is thought to have been born this way. She’s as adorable as a button.” Tortilla was soon placed with a foster family to ensure that she thrived in a safe home environment while they looked for a forever home.
Tortilla explored her new surroundings and rapidly emerged from her shell. The calico was rumbling with her loud purrs before they realised it, and she kept the motor going all day. The adorable cat felt fond to her foster mother and wanted to accompany her about the house as the most devoted supervisor. Her purrs echoed across the room as she gave her foster mom her typical tongue-out expression.
“She is caring, funny, eccentric, and playful. She adores hugging and doing silly things to make her mother laugh “Tara informed Love Meow.
Tortilla immediately made friends with the resident cats and dog once she was ready to socialise with additional furry pals. She lavished them with cuddles and purrs and was overjoyed to be in their company.
Tortilla, despite being 13 years old, is still a kitten in heart. She commands attention by rolling on her back and blowing raspberries while pumping her paws in the air. Her foster family found themselves falling more and more in love with the adorable calico every day. Tortilla entered foster care in the hope that the proper home would find her. She’d already found it, as it turned out.
Her foster family fell in love with her the instant she stepped out of her carrier. Her quirkiness, purrs, unique look, and lovely disposition won their hearts from the start. They couldn’t bear the thought of parting with the adorable calico and made her a permanent member of their family. Tortilla now has two feline sisters, a canine sibling, and loving humans with whom she will spend the rest of her life.
