The number of abandoned cats on the property of a family who owns a remote farm near Montreal, Canada, grew over time.
They took in people who were standing by the side of the road and made every effort to save them.
They soon realised they couldn’t provide the kitties the attention they required and appealed for assistance. Celine Crom of Chatons Orphelins Montréal told Love Meow that “several of the cats were unwell and others were hurt due to fighting.”
When Julie, an animal rescuer, learned about the challenging circumstance, she acted quickly. One of the cats was coated in matting and had a clouded eye, she observed.
With the aid of humane traps, Julie was able to capture all the cats and kittens and transport them to Chatons Orphelins Montréal. As it turned out, several cats—including the one with the clouded eye—were expecting kittens.
Before being placed in foster care, all of them got medical care.
“Remille was the name of the cat with the long hair and the clouded eye. She was merely skin and bones, weighing only 1.3 kg.”
