Betty is still getting used to her new home after being adopted by Betty’s family six months ago from a nearby veterinary clinic. Although Betty is an indoor cat, she enjoys looking out her windows and occasionally, as a special treat, her mother will take her outdoors so she can play with some supervision.
Recently, when Betty was gazing out the window, something unusual occurred—it began to rain.
Morgan Smith, Betty’s mother, told The Dodo, “I could see her looking through the screen door in perplexity.”
Smith made the decision to take Betty outside so she could see the rain for herself.
Smith recalled that after she was brought back inside, “she raced right to the door again to catch the rain.”
Betty eventually calmed down and carried on with her day, but her family is eager to see out what will transpire the following time it rains.
