Australia’s MELBOURNE – The fur on their noses was a kind cat kid’s way of saving the seven small kittens you can see in this picture and seven others like them.
Last week, 13-year-old Lucinda was biking home along the Moonee Ponds Creek Track when three kittens literally crossed her path.
They were adorable. They appeared to be so lost and abandoned that I didn’t want to leave them,” she added. “I hurried home to get a washing basket to gather them because it was raining.”
Nine more cats appeared when she went back to collect the kittens.
When Lucinda called Lort Smith Animal Hospital with 14 kittens in her care, the kind staff advised her to bring the animals in right away.
She explained, “Someone gave me $50 for my birthday a few weeks ago, so I paid it for a taxi to take the kittens into Lort Smith.
The best children are those who have been taught to value and respect animals.
