An one-eyed rescue cat, enjoys hanging ten & surfing with his owner

A one-eyed cat was spotted in the surf riding on its owners’ backs.

After being saved by owners Alexandra Gomez and Krista Littleton, Kuli the cat from Honolulu, Hawaii, has been surfing with them for more than a year.

Kuli, whose name means “to seem blind,” was adopted when he weighed only 450 grammes but has since developed into a master of surfing.

Kuli’s owners, Alexandra, 25, and Krista, 30, think that he is so tolerant of the water because he has received regular baths to treat the condition that required the removal of his eye at the age of four months.

Kuli was first placed on Alexandra’s longboard before being transferred to a boogie board that he could really sink his teeth into.

Alexandra and Krista’s beach bag is now frequently seen being used by Kuli when she leaves the house.

After his surgery, Kulini began learning to surf at the age of four months. He didn’t start surfing until he was about six months old, according to Alexandra.

“When he entered the water for the first time, we just let him float on the board by himself close to the shore while I paddled alongside him. We quickly started seeking for waves to surf.

I used to take Kuli out on my long boards for a while, but it wasn’t until I was experimenting with a boogie board that I realised how much he enjoyed digging his claws into the foam.
