In need of assistance, a scruffy, emaciated cat was seen in a Montreal, Canada, neighbourhood.
A few good Samaritans were in the neighbourhood just before she was discovered working to save another cat of the same age.
They were thought to be sisters, but regrettably the other cat passed away. When Maude learnt of the predicament, she set out on a mission to rescue the last sister from the streets.
Maude worked quite hard to carefully capture the cat with a humane trap and bring her home because it was a challenging location for stray cats to live in.
She gave the cat the name Mulan and contacted her neighbourhood rescue, Chatons Orphelins Montreal, for help. Mulan got an upper respiratory infection and was reduced to skin and bones. She had a roof over her head and plenty of food that night to fill her stomach.
“She hissed and spit at the veterinarian because she was so scared of people. She kept trying to escape by hopping on the cabinets, making the examination challenging “shared with Love Meow by Celine Crom of Chatons Orphelins in Montreal.
