Samara the cat has previously fallen in love and lost two times.
Her world was turned upside down for the first time in 2016 when her devoted owner passed away and the family left her at a busy Michigan shelter.
According to Sasha Oza, executive director of Michigan Cat Rescue, “not many rescues travel to this facility, so they have a very high death rate.” But the head of Michigan Cat Rescue, Nancy [Hutchinson], will go there whenever she can and remove animals from there.
During a chance encounter, Hutchinson caught sight of Samara.
She was barely eight months old when she was set to be put to death, according to Oza. As a result, we pulled her and carried her to safety.
Samara quickly found a new home, and an excellent one at that.
Oza explained, “She was adopted by an extremely lovely lady named Joyce. Joyce genuinely started supporting us and giving a lot of money. She attended our activities and was just an all-around nice person.
Oza added, “She really adored that cat. I received a few images from her Facebook page that had tiny captions that read, “The love of my life.”
But tragedy struck once more three weeks ago.
Oza stated that Joyce “really passed away unexpectedly in her house.” So two of this cat’s owners have passed away, poor little thing.
The police conducted an investigation in Joyce’s home because of the suddenness of her death. Samara was found, and they arranged for animal control to come get her and take her to the shelter. Fortunately, Hutchinson stepped in and persuaded the authorities to allow her to transport Samara back to the rescue team.
