After an elderly cat with a microchip goes missing for five years, the plot twists

A woman who works as a vet tech lost her cat five years ago. Sadly, the woman was forced to relocate from her home in Canada’s Greater Victoria region to Ontario.

Despite the fact that it had been years, the woman never lost hope. Her cat has to be somewhere, she knew.

The cat had been lost for 5 years according to the local organisation FLEC, Find Lost and Escaped Cats. FLEC is a non-profit organisation with headquarters on Vancouver Island in Canada.

A Colwood, British Columbia, family first reported the cat missing in February. The cat apparently resided with the household for some time before pulling a Houdini move and fleeing.

The cat was discovered by a kind soul close to Royal Bay Bluff. To check for a microchip and have their health assessed, this person brought the cat to the veterinarian. The story then changes due to the family and the helpful stranger.

The cat had a microchip, but the Colwood family was unaware of it.

The cat had been missing for five years until the veterinarian checked. Long before the family came across him, he was someone else’s cat!
