The United Arab Emirates’ city of Dubai has a very different culture than most of us are accustomed to. The founder of Bradford Cat Watch Rescue, Katie Lloyd, claims that no rescue facilities are even permitted in Dubai.
However, a stray might be sent to one of the nearby animal shelters in Dubai for assistance. And that is where the tale of the fortunate cat, later named Manish, starts.
Manisha is thought to have been hurt in a car accident, and the driver did not stop to assist. When a woman saw the cat, she contacted a Facebook-followed rescue organisation right away. The rescue, though, took place in the UK.
The Bradford Cat Watch Rescue, established 16 years ago and naturally located in Bradford, England, is led by Katie Lloyd. The nonprofit rescue takes in cats in all circumstances and offers them medical attention as well as rehoming. The facility, which is run out of Katie’s house, depends on contributions and volunteers.
Bradford is a long way from Dubaiāit takes a 30-hour flight! Manisha spent an additional five hours to the rescue centre after flying from the Abu Dhabi airport to Heathrow.
Manisha was helped by the International Pet and Animal Transfer Network member charity Sandy Paws to fly across Europe. The flight was generously supported by the Bradford Cat Watch Rescue.
Manisha came at the facility and immediately gave off the impression that she belonged there.
