Magda and her friend Manu were biking in Azerbaijan.
They were both hungry, so when they got in the next town, they went for a restaurant.
A little little kitten approached them while they were seated in the street eating their lunch.
She was meowing at them, so they decided to feed her because she appeared to be starving.
They both felt terrible for her; she was plainly alone in the world and going through a difficult period.
They thought they had no choice but to take her with them since they felt they needed to do something to help her.
The two girls were completely smitten by the little kitty, so this new chapter in their voyage was exciting to them.
They created a hammock for her in the handlebar bag and covered it with a blanket to make it cosy and safe.
Although the little kitten was initially cautious, it didn’t take long for her to relax and enjoy the voyage.
She had no trouble joining the two girls in their tent when it was time to set up camp for the night.
They named her Icky after the Azerbaijani word for two, which was the number of sausages she consumed that evening!
When they weren’t on the road or in the tent, Icky would follow the two girls everywhere they went. It was wonderful to finally be loved.
They were now on their way to Baku, where they planned to find a vet and make a choice about Icky’s destiny.
They were trying to locate someone who was interested in adopting her.
When they arrived to the clinic, the receptionist offered to assist them in finding Icky a home by creating a Facebook post on their community page looking for potential adopters.
