A man in Foxboro claims that Garfield, his rescue cat, may have saved his life

A man from Massachusetts claims that his cat saved his leg and maybe his life.

Rescue cat Garfield, who is 17 months old, and his owner, 69-year-old Thomas Williams, are valiantly settling into their new home in Foxboro.

Williams claims that Garfield’s previous owners cruelly mistreated him.

He can still clearly recall the day he adopted Garfield.

He stuck his head out like a prairie dog when the person who picked him up for me opened the top of the cat carrier, according to Williams. “Oh my God, what a cutie he is,” I exclaimed.”

Garfield was given a second opportunity through adoption. It didn’t take long for the cat to repay the favour.

He simply kept sniffing my legs, prompting me to ask, “What is he doing?” stated Williams. “And he crawled under my wheelchair and continued poking me with his paw.”

Williams, an amputee, claims that last month, Garfield hung around his leg for days on end.
