While working from home one cold day, Nathaniel observed something strange outside his apartment window. A stray cat was making an entrance by scratching at his window.
And who can blame him—the weather was bitterly cold. He recognised the cat right away as Chunk Chunk, a member of a nearby colony of stray cats.
He was aware that Chunk Chunk was probably going through the worst time of his life and that he needed to take action. Although Renee, his fiancée, donates her time to help keep the neighbourhood cats safe, Nathaniel wasn’t a big cat person.
He let the shivering cat inside so he could warm up because he couldn’t leave him out in the ferocious snowstorm. They confined him in the bathroom because he was afraid he wouldn’t get along with the dog.
He is still with them one week later and has even been to the vet to make sure everything is okay. Because it has been decided that this would be Chunk CHunk’s furrever home, the dog and cat appear to be getting along.
