A 20-year-old cat was saved, given a loving home for the rest of its life, and given a much-needed bath. He can’t stop purring because he is so joyful.
Oswald the cat, please!
Oswald entered the shelter when he was 20 years old, which is over 100 in human years.
He was turned over to a shelter “without a name or much of a hope,” Kitty Adventure Rescue League‘s Karyn Poplin said in a statement to Love Meow.
The cat was taken by Karyn from the shelter and placed in her cat sanctuary, where he now has a place to call home. Nothing can stop this old man from “exploring and getting in the way in typical cat fashion,” despite his age, health, and difficulty walking.
Cats typically dislike getting bathed, but Oswald was quite grateful to get cleaned.
“The man is a champion. All he needed was some chin scratches, but he let me clean him and ate all the food I set out for him “explained Karyn.
“Despite having the most grumpy old guy visage, he truly loves people. He also talks a lot!”
After the bath, the affectionate ginger cat curled up next to his forever human and started purring.
“He has a hard time walking, but he’s a trooper. He continues to step on things, just like kitties do.” Love Meow was told by Karyn. He is enjoying every second of his new life and eating like a champ.
