These tiny Mercats adore the sand, the waves, and swimming in the serene tidal pools on the Gold Coast beaches.
Nathan was the unique name Rian and Melissa gave the little black kitten they rescued from the RSPCA Bundaberg in Australia.
Nathan later shown to be exceptional in another way: she enjoys regularly swimming in the ocean off Australia’s Gold Coast.
The couple initially joked about naming the kitten Nathan, but it ended up sticking.
Only a few weeks old, Nathan was discovered in a box by the side of the road. The couple, who are both medical professionals, took her to the beach soon after they adopted her in 2017.
Nathan went after Rian when they first arrived at the beach.
