The cat is overjoyed to be out of the shelter having a full belly and a comfortable place

A cat was given up to a local shelter in Brisbane, Australia, at the ripe old age of 22 in the beginning of October.

Because of the escalating cost of living, her family is no longer able to pay for her care, according to Nikki of Best Friends Felines.

Because of its capacity and lack of resources, the shelter was unable to assist her.

Best Friends Felines were alerted to her predicament and started making arrangements for the senior cat to be placed in a foster home right away.

They were resolved to save her and take her in so that she might live the rest of her days surrounded by affection.

Thelma the cat was bare-bones and had fur patches missing. She should not be confined to a shelter kennel at her age; rather, she should be enjoying her retirement in a peaceful, comfortable setting.

In an effort to find a home for the deserving cat, the rescue organisation reached out to their neighborhood.

The sweet cat was able to leave the shelter that day and begin a new chapter thanks to the power of social media and the initiative of a volunteer.
