Two tabby kittens were seen scrounging for food and shelter on the streets of Philadelphia. A pair of animal rescuers from @kolonykats set up a humane trap and were successful in capturing the pair.
The feline brothers entered the trap at the same time. They required a foster home because they were somewhat frightened and bewildered. Erica offered to assist as a volunteer with Charlie’s Army Animal Rescue.
“When they were brought to me, they had not been socialized. They hadn’t interacted with many people, “Love Meow was told by Erica.
After they entered foster care, the kittens continued to reside in their hiding place. Their perspective started to shift gradually but certainly.
“They had just been born for five weeks. For the first day or so, whenever I entered their room, they would either rush back inside their carrier or refuse to exit it altogether.”
The feline brothers warmed up to their foster mother within 48 hours, even turning on their purr motors when touched.
They were lazing on Erica’s clothes and enjoying the comforts of inside life because they no longer desired to remain hidden. Big and Little, the two kittens, emerged from their shells as an unbreakable couple.
