A Good Samaritan from Orlando, Florida was shocked to discover a tiny kitten racing up her driveway and meowing for attention in the beginning of November.
The kitten approached and saw that the tuxedo had face problems and an upper respiratory illness. She picked her up, brought her home, and asked the neighbourhood cat shelter, Liberation Cat House, for assistance.
Ashley, director and foster with Liberation Cat House, told Love Meow, “She was taking care of the kitten while looking for a rescue, and happily, I had the space to help.”
Since that fateful day, the kitten has gone by the name “Bug” thanks to the finder. Bug had one open eye and one nose when he was about six weeks old.
She has an undeveloped iris in her open eye and an incompletely developed eyelid and eyeball in her closed eye. She also has seeking nystagmus, which causes her eye to move quickly and uncontrollably.
“I believe that if Bug could speak, she would express her gratitude for many things this Thanksgiving. When she was a small kitten, she faced overwhelming odds, but now she has a chance.”
