A stray cat named Spring with a cute black heart on his nose is featured in a story by Brooklyn “Cat Wrangler” Heidi of Heidi Wrangles Cats.
Heidi accomplished a fairly remarkable achievement in mid-April when she simultaneously captured Spring and a smaller kitten named Bud.
She caught them simultaneously in two different traps, a box and a drop trap, which is what makes it so incredible. She carried out all of this while hiding out in her car and waiting to pull the trigger.
She undoubtedly makes use of her extensive experience when she conducts Trap, Neuter, Release (TNR) efforts in the Brooklyn area.
Rescuers and shelters will be overwhelmed with kittens in need of rescue as the weather gets warmer.
Bud, the black and white kitten, first appears at the sardine-baited box trap. A metal water bottle in the doorway with a string around it enables Heidi to manually release the trap. Bud soon enters but flits apprehensively back outside.
Then, Spring arrives close by, and that huge heart is immediately apparent. She initially thinks Spring might be the mother but later finds out that she is actually a he.
