Two rescued and adopted cats named Maple and Fern reside with veterinarians in Canada.
The unbreakable sisters first ran into Maple at work when she was receiving treatment when they were just five months old. Then, they adopted Fern and her from a Prince Edward Island shelter.
As you can see, both domestic medium-haired cats have elegant, floofy tails that have a small amount of Maine Coone in them.
The orange Maple is named after the Canadian maple leaf, whereas the grey and beige Fern is named after the silver fern of New Zealand (the vet’s former home).
Both of them are occasionally adventurous cats who go on outings while outfitted in a harness.
First, Fern’s hoomans found a few blood specks inside the residence. They then noticed that the cat’s tail was hurt. They treated her with painkillers and antibiotics for cats because they were vets and knew exactly what to do.
Fern was acting as though the wound on her tail didn’t hurt her at all.
However, they found that in order for the exposed bone to heal properly without becoming seriously infected, surgery would need to be performed to remove it.
She would be able to recover from having her tail degloved, and the floof would grow back without changing the way she looked.
She visited the veterinarian’s office the following morning with Maple. Maple would come along to provide moral support and “work distraction.”
