After spending three years moving between shelters, rescues, foster homes, and cat cafes, Jensen, a 7-year-old tuxedo cat, has at last found a loving forever home. Despite being “the sweetest boy,” according to rescuers, it appears that the odds were stacked against him, like with many older cats.
The cat stayed in the South Florida Lady Luck Animal Rescue longer than any other cat because of his advanced age.
(The nonprofit also manages Fort Lauderdale’s Good Luck Cat Cafe.)
Jensen remained in a shelter for more than a hundred days after his owner passed away in 2019.
After losing his human, his behaviour likely changed, and he became wary of strangers. When Jensen the wallflower had been there for a month, the shelter indicated that he may make a pleasant outdoor “cat with attitude.”
On the other side, they discovered the tuxie might get friendly with someone in a domestic setting.
