A good Samaritan responds to a mother cat’s cries for a kitten trapped inside a store

A little cat and its mother in Sharjah, the third-largest city in the United Arab Emirates, became a little bit too interested. Although we don’t know for sure how the kitty got inside, it’s possible that she entered just before closure.

Of course, the kitten would be easily overlooked if it were to remain silent and conceal itself behind anything.

The kittens’ mother, though, was aware that her child was missing. The mother cat cried and cried for help from passersby as soon as she saw her baby in the shop window.

She cried out as loud as she could for assistance removing her infant from the neighbourhood curtain and carpet store close to the post office in Al Wahda.

The mother cat waited all night and made as many attempts as she could to attract attention from onlookers. After all, she could see her infant meowing at her from the window.

Adnan, a man, happened to be nearby and heard the commotion. Before he saw the cat outside the curtain and carpet store, he wasn’t sure where the meowing was coming from at first. The kitten was then visible to Adnan just inside the window.

Adnan started to ask people if they knew the shop owner after realising he had to get the kitten out of the store. In order to help him gather information locally, he also recorded a video of the incident.

Sadly, nobody had the contact details for the shop owner. Adnan was forced to wait for the shop owner to arrive because he had no way of getting in touch with him.
