Since Chebon has been missing for more than 7 years, all hope of ever locating him has all but vanished. When a miracle occurred, Robert had already made peace with the idea that he would never see his tiny friend again.
He got a call informing him that his cat had been located. He boarded the first available flight, and this is how he met up with his friend.
Years ago, just before Robert planned to relocate from California to Ohio, this adorable cat vanished. The news devastated Robert, who made the decision to remain in California for an additional year while he looked for Chebon but was never successful in doing so.
In a video uploaded on the Ventura County Animal Services website, Robert said, “I remember at one time I was praying and I said, ‘God, I’ll do anything, just get my Chebon back.'” After spending such a long time searching, Robert had all but given up on ever finding Chebon.
Seven years later, a woman decided to take a sick-looking cat to the clinic after noticing it. Fortunately, the cat she discovered had a microchip, and after scanning it, they immediately identified the pet’s 19-year-old owner.
Robert finally spotted the cat and recognised him right away, crying with excitement. The two were at last united after all these years. The caring moment was quickly captured by the animal shelter.
