Rescuer Astounded How ‘Potato’ the Rude Feral Cat Changed in Just Four Weeks

With love, a lot of time and patience, and a “feral and violent” cat like Potato, everything is possible. Remember that Potato’s rescuer has extensive knowledge of rehabilitating cats classified as feral. Grace is a foster parent who works with Boomers Buddies in Los Angeles.

We previously told the story of how Grace saved Joey, a cat known for being vicious and feral. After some time and a lot of love, Joey transformed into a comically reticent love bug who helped raise the foster kittens.

On that day, Potato was supposed to be put to death. A miracle was required. In the end, that miracle’s name was Grace.

Potato was a severely traumatised cat at home. Due to the anaesthetic from the procedure, he was initially peaceful, but when it wore off, she “unlocked a Hot Potato.”

It would take a tiny miracle for him to learn to trust once more, but Grace wouldn’t give up on him. He was lucky to be looked after by someone with such compassion and wisdom.

Grace was able to pet him a little, although he growled and once swatted her, spitting blood. She continued to give him treats to help him relax, but she didn’t hold it against him. He did gradually start to adjust with time.

Even if Potato was unable to develop human trust, Grace would take care of finding him a suitable sanctuary or a life as a barn cat.
