Hurricane Ian Cat Struggling Video Post by FL Weatherman Draws Criticism

The circumstances in the area are getting worse and pose life-threatening threats to anyone who dares venture outside in the storm, and a Florida weatherman is experiencing the wrath of Twitter after releasing a video of a kitten struggling in Hurricane Ian and being unable to bring it to safety.

Dylan Federico, a meteorologist for WINK-TV, shared a brief video of the kitten clinging to a bench outside the Fort Myers television station while water and wind whipped around it. Federico captioned the photo, “Outside WINK News, a storm surge is gradually increasing. On the bench, a kitty is attempting to get out of the water. We are attempting to get the kitten inside despite the locked doors.”

the outrage on social media persisted. Another individual remarked, “Even if you erased the video, none of us will ever be able to forget you. brutal, inhumane, and cowardly.”

It seems that the stranded cat problem has resulted in some GOOD NEWS; a different reporter, who claims to be writing for her friends at WINK without Internet, reports that the kitty has been SAVED by one of the station’s producers who will adopt the critter.
