When Ruga, an 8-year-old dog, was given to Little Legs Dog and Cat Rescue in Queensland, Australia, Angela Ellen and Chris Morris took him in as a foster right away. Although they merely intended to foster the adorable senior cat, Ruga, the more time Ellen spent with him, the more in love she became. As a result, she kept letting Morris know that she genuinely wanted to keep Ruga.
Morris wasn’t as interested in adopting Ruga as Ellen was, she told The Dodo. Finally, on the day of our wedding, he wrapped Ruga in a bow and told me I could keep him as a wedding gift.
Ruga has loved his new family and anyone else who happens to be visiting from the day he moved into his new house. Although he enjoys attention and cuddling, his main objective in life is to find the warmest spot he can and spend his entire life sleeping there.
Ellen realised it was time to pick up her car from the mechanic who had been working on it on Saturday as she was about to complete baking some brownies. She removed the brownies from the oven, set them on top of the oven to cool, and then she and her husband left the house for the short 10-minute drive to the mechanic.
Fortunately, the brownies were protected by a cloth throughout Ruga’s napping spectacular and were still tasty despite being a little squashed. Ruga had a wonderful snooze, and the couple still got to eat their brownies, but you can bet that they won’t ever again leave food out to cool alone.
