Meet Kefir, a Maine Coon Kitten who continues to grow and weigh more than 27 pounds

Kefir, a 27 lb (12.2 kg) Maine Coon cat, has been trending online. The cat makes people believe it’s a dog, even if in theory it’s still a kitten. It was named by Yuliya’s two kids after the fermented milk beverage. Maine Coons continue to grow until they are 3 or 4 years old, whereas a typical domestic cat reaches full size by the age of 1 or 2.

Kefir was Yuliya’s first cat, and when they adopted him, they had no idea he would grow to be so large. Kefir is extremely intelligent and clever by nature. In Yuliya’s family, he is seen as a person.

Kefir can easily open every door in the home with his powerful paws. Additionally, we were unaware that Kefir greatly adores the water and enjoys swimming, which makes this cat different from the others in addition to its size. His coat takes a very long time to dry after his “Olympic” swimming practise, which is a drawback.

Kefir is so kind and affectionate that when friends and acquaintances stop over, they are in awe of him. The cat enjoys relaxing on the kitchen table. Yuliya responded, “His favourite activity is lying on me at night,” but it’s gotten pretty heavy, when asked what Kefir’s favourite pastime is.
